HAZMAT services are provided by company-specific contract only and require a retainer fee to guarantee response services. MEA also welcomes cooperative contracts where the burden of response cost is shared by several companies located close together with similar hazards.

Options are available that allow your company to have an MEA hazardous materials response trailer stationed on-site for use by your employees during the first few minutes of small releases which could save your company thousands of dollars in environmental remediation. The pre-staged equipment cache is also used by MEA team members for medium to large releases that may occur at your facility as well. Pre-staged equipment allows precious time to be saved and expedites emergency response. These units are inspected and inventoried after each use and quarterly by MEA response team members to ensure their ready-to-respond status.

Our response members are experienced in all aspects of HAZMAT response and specialize in technician/specialist level activities that are aimed at stopping and/or containing the release, allowing the clean-up contractor to safely and efficiently remediate the area. MEA also offers incident command services and liaison services between your company and local municipal response organizations.

By specializing in the technical aspect of containment, MEA’s Special Operations Division can quickly arrive on-site and reduce your company’s exposure to liability by bringing the release under control and stopping further damage to the environment and the surrounding community’s health.

Our Special Operations Division works closely with our Industrial Hygiene Division to also offer emergency environmental monitoring that establishes valuable initial public and environmental data to be used as a benchmark for use in the event of damage claims by the public or other governmental organizations.

If your company has special hazards or locations that are difficult to reach, e.g., railroad transport companies and energy exploration companies, specialized contracts with modified response units can be established. MEA works well with clean-up contractors and can even assist in the management of the overall clean-up effort.
